The Black Male Scholar is a great program at BGJHS. There are so many good things about the program! There are a lot of field trips. There are many activities to do, like the big brothers coming from college, playing games, and learning About college. The challenges black male scholars have to face here at BGJHS include all advanced classes. The reason this is a challenge is because they are doing more and harder work at it. 8th grader Jac Ngoy said, “We are held to a higher standard ”. Those are the challenging things about the black male scholars at BGJHS.

For the black male scholar, there are multiple activities and field trips. The field trips are fun and educational. 8th grader LDevaun Yates said, “The best thing about being a black male scholar is the field trips.”. The Dig Brother program came to visit and teach us more about college, and we played arcade games. Those are some activities of black male scholars.

So, as you can see, the black male scholars program has its ups and downs. Even though the black male scholar’s program is hard sometimes, they still love being in it. If you are an African American male, check it out!
