Have you ever wondered what technology was back then? Technology has evolved and has increasingly improved over the years. We see now how technology is advanced compared to how it was before.
Mr. Staggs has a lot of experience with technology, as he teaches a coding class. He shared, ”I was going to go to computer science in college and decided that I would rather teach. ” At the time, there wasn’t any computer science education course I could take.” So I decided to go into math and science education. “I still played around with coding for a while. One day I asked my Principal at the time if I loved to do some Engineering/coding class, and the Principal was cool with that and I have done it ever since.”‘
Technology has grown and changed in many ways. Computer Science Teacher Mr. Staggs explained, ”Technology has always been improving; I think where we are at is almost like, How can you improve on it any more than it currently is?” You know every so often we just have really big jumps and innovations, like when the first iPhone came out, Apple Watch, iPads, etc. Whether we just have a huge jump in technology that happens so often. “Right now, we’re kind of staying still; phones, as they upgrade every year, don’t seem much better, and we’re always improving what we can in the past and excited to see what the future would look like.”
Mr. Staggs also explained why he developed robotics. ”I liked coding, but with coding, you see something on the screen that happens.” But with robots, it’s physical; it’s 3D.” You see it working on itself or see it mess up, which makes it entertaining. “There is a more physical aspect to it and a lot more engaging.”
Dax Allen shares his experience with technology. “Building programs. ” Dax Allen explains how technology has become better over the years. “Yes, it has been easy to communicate with people and other resources.” We also asked Dax Allen about this new technology generation and what he does not like about this generation. “Now this generation of technology is easier for criminals to get information online, so it is cyber-attacking.” We also asked Dax Allen about whether technology will be better in the future or if it will improve or be worse. “I think it will improve and be worse but in different ways for the technology generation.”
