We all know that even the most popular accessories cost a pretty penny. Are the prices worth it? We gave three students at BGJHS a list of popular items and let them pick their favorite.
We are all familiar with the Kendra Scott necklaces everyone seems to have. The average price for a Kendra Scott is around 50-60 dollars. 6th grader Tess Falknor says that the price is not reasonable, but they’re beautiful, colorful, and go with any outfit. Tess also says, “It makes me feel special.” Wearing something that stands out and blends in at the same time can boost your confidence.
When switching classes in the hallway, there’s always a sea of North Face backpacks. A North Face backpack has many upsides. 6th grader Addie Hamilton states, “So the North Face backpack is very spacious, and it provides all the space for my stuff, and when I use it, I can put anything I want in there.” A North Face backpack can produce lots of storage to carry all of your school materials.” They are anywhere from $80-$110. Addison explains that the price is reasonable because of the room, productivity, and quality.
Looking for an accessory that pulls your outfit all together? That’s just what the E-Newton bracelet does! 8th grader Sophia Walden explains, “An E Newton bracelet impacts my outfits a lot because when I’m lazy I put the bracelet on and it looks amazing with my outfit.” An E Newton bracelet is fashionable and cute, perfect to pull an outfit together. The bracelet is anywhere from $35- $50. Sophia Walden states that the price for the bracelet is reasonable because they are cute and won’t tarnish.
There are many different accessories that kids have in school. The more that people see it around, the more they might want it. But some of these accessories aren’t worth the price. It’s important to find something worthwhile and useful while also being cute at the same time. And remember that there are always cheaper alternatives that are just the same as what you want. Just find your style!
