BGJHS has an amazing basketball team each year. We are going to find out who has the magic hands to help this team be so great.
Have you ever had to try out for something and felt nervous? Girls and boys basketball players had tryouts on September 26th at BGJHS gym so they could have joy in playing, being with their friends, and doing things they loved. “Try-outs went Fantastic”.8th Grader Lola Kate Kington. The basketball tryouts at BGJHS went very well, although they were very challenging. 6th grader Madeline Morrison says “Tryouts went well. All of the girls gave their best effort, which made it harder because I felt more pressured.”`
Many challenges affected the performance of the many girls and boys that tried out for this amazing basketball team! 6th grader Addison Hamilton says, “I’m left-handed, so when we had to do right-handed layups they were different and I’ve never really practiced those before, so when we had to do them they were challenging.”
The tryouts were fun and an amazing experience! 8th grader Tre Thomas says “Seeing and hanging out with all of my friends was very fun and it was overall an amazing experience”.Before tryouts were very nerve-racking, but in the end it was fun and exciting 8th grader Lola Kate Kington says, “Before tryouts, I was very nervous, but after I got onto the court, it was very fun and exciting”.
Soon the amazing basketball season will start, and we will get to see who has the magic hands to lead the team to victory.
