Step into a world of thrills and chills, as we explore the enchanting Beech Bend, Sound Waves, and Holiday World, where roller coasters face gravity and laughter, echoes through the air. 7th graders Finley Yokley, Myers Caudill, and Maressa Puentes at BGJHS give us their review on some fun, stunning, local amusement parks close to Bowling Green.
Students at BGJHS have many different options for local water parks and rides. But only one stood out to 7th grader Finley Yokley. Yokley said,, “I’ve never been to Sound Waves or Holiday World before, so I guess Beech Bend.” This shows how much fun Beech Bend is for not only Finley but many more. This adventurous amusement park has loads of different rides that are impacting many lives of kids, teens, and adults.
There are many rides around the world. Some are local, and others are far away. Local amusement park “Beech Bend” is on the list for Myers Caudill. Caudill said, “My favorite ride there is the wooden one, the Kentucky Rumbler. I like this because I like how fast it goes and it takes like really sharp turns.” The Kentucky Rumbler is a fast ride that has lots of sharp turns and ups and downs! Many people go there in the summer and spring to experience those moments!
Different rides take different speeds, turns, and drops. Some are fun, while others are completely scary! But why are these rides so fun? Well, 7th grader Maressa Puentes said, “I like the roller coasters because I get scared.” Many people think that a frightening feeling is part of the fun! Marissa loved the amusement park “Holiday World” because of all the many different rides there that have those fun, twisted turns! Amusement parks are a common place many middle schoolers like to go to.
These stunning amusement parks stand out to middle schoolers. But there were two in particular. Beech Bend and Holiday World are some of those local places. These middle schoolers had different perspectives on these amusement parks, and they had an absolute blast there! The opinions varied between the fun roller coasters and the amazing waterslides! But the overall question is… what would your favorite amusement park be?
