3ALMA, GA — The FBI has joined the search for a 16-year-old Georgia girl who has been missing for more than a week, as local authorities continue trying to track her down. Investigators are asking the public for help finding Amy Grace Robertson, who was reported missing from a home off Floyd Street on the night of Oct. 21.
According to the Alma Police Department, Robertson’s guardian reported her missing. Officers and deputies searched the nearby woods shortly after she disappeared but did not locate her. Police say several leads have not panned out, leaving investigators still looking for any credible information that could explain where she went.
The Alma Police Department said the teen was last known to be at a home off Floyd Street before she disappeared. Once the report came in, officers and deputies began searching the area around the residence, including woods nearby, in hopes of finding signs of her location or movement.
That initial search did not turn up any trace of Robertson, and authorities said the case has since relied on follow-up tips and community help. Police have not said whether they believe foul play was involved, only that the investigation remains active while they continue checking information that comes in.
The announcement that the FBI has joined the effort underscores how seriously investigators are treating the case as the search stretches beyond a week. The federal agency’s involvement can bring added resources and support for local law enforcement, though officials have not detailed what specific role the bureau is playing in this case.
For now, the investigation remains centered on finding Robertson and following up on any leads that could help narrow down where she may have gone. Authorities have described those leads as unsuccessful so far, which has made public tips especially important as the search continues.
Authorities released a description of Robertson to help people recognize her. She is described as being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. Police said she has brown hair and brown eyes.
Investigators also said she was last seen wearing a blue sweater and black sweatpants with multiple patterns on them. That clothing description may help witnesses identify her if they saw her near Alma or elsewhere after she was reported missing.
Anyone who may have seen Robertson or has information that could help locate her is being urged to contact law enforcement. Police said tips can be given to Inv. Sergeant Z. Sarro with the Alma-Bacon County Crime Suppression Unit at 912-632-8751.
Authorities also directed the public to the Bacon County Sheriff’s Office. Even small details about where Robertson may have been seen, or who she may have been with, could help investigators determine her path after she was reported missing.
Police have not publicly said why Robertson left the home or how she may have disappeared. They also have not released details about any possible sightings since Oct. 21, aside from saying multiple leads have been checked and rejected.
With the teen still missing and the FBI now involved, the case remains open and unresolved. Local authorities continue to rely on community information while they work to piece together what happened in the hours and days after she was last seen.
