With the pressure of getting good grades, how does the football team face the challenge of balancing football and school work?
The football team at BGJHS is a team that comes together after school to plan and practice for their next opponent, but some of the players might get caught in some trouble trying to balance football and school work.
Being a student-athlete is no easy task. There’s practice, film, conditioning, and homework on top of that. “It’s not that hard; it’s just the time management that’s the hard part, plus I want to watch films and other things,” 8th grader Izek Reed explained.
For the JH football team to excel on the field, there has to be teamwork. “I like how we players have a great connection with each other, and it helps on the field because I feel like the stronger your connection is with your teammates, the better the teamwork and team will be,” 8th grader Jett Reynolds stated.
So as athletes, try and find time, and in the classroom, try and finish your work in class so you won’t struggle and so your grades won’t drop.
