How unstoppable is the BGJHS soccer team? The BGJHS soccer team will be playing home games at the BGJHS pit or away games at other schools every week so that they can compete for the middle school soccer team championship.
During the soccer season, players have many favorite moments. 8th grader Kai Dizgun shared, “My favorite moment from the three years of playing was when I scored a banger top bins. It was epic.”
A strong defense is crucial for a team’s success. It demonstrates the players’ trust in their defenders. This can lead to a better overall performance. 8th grader Will Swietek said, “I rely a lot on my defenders because they stop the ball from getting to me. I’m like a last resort.”
Playing on the soccer team can be helpful, so you know what to do and you can help the new players that have just joined the team. Dizgun shared with us what advice he would give to new players on the team: “Even if you don’t make it, keep playing because you will make it next time. Just keep trying and putting that best effort in.”
For the first years playing soccer, it can be a bit difficult to stay involved with soccer, especially if you’re an eighth grader. 8th grader Phin Vonsteinfort explained to us how he would stay involved in soccer after middle school. He said, “I will play club and train so that I can hopefully play for the JV team.”
The BGJHS soccer team does not let down when they lose; they bounce right back and get the victory.
