Takis come in 32 Unique flavors and every flavor is liked for different reasons but have you ever wondered which one is most loved? Some think it would be Fuego since it is the original flavor and the icon of takis. Others would say Blue Heat for its interesting new look. Or even Intense nachos for its cheesy flavor, But what is the best flavor? Publicly, takis fuego is the best flavor but out of all the people I interviewed, almost everyone claimed blue heat was the best flavor. The worst flavor for everyone I interviewed was Fajitas.
Lots of flavors of takis are favored, Some over others, For example, things like the Blue Heat and the Red Fuego takis. But some people think differently. Internationally, the Guacamole or Crunchy Fajita flavor keeps switching between rankings as the worst flavors, and the blue heat and fuego takis have the same problem but instead fight for the best flavor. Currently, the new dragon flavor has been well taken by the takis community and is well rated, with people tasting “garlic powder and cayenne peppers” and also tasting similar to “Fritos Honey BBQ Flavor Twists” in their initial taste, which is an overall pretty good flavor.
After asking others how Takis tasted, I decided to try them for myself, starting with Fuego. They were spicier than I imagined, but the flavor was overall good. The only thing that I didn’t like about Fuego takis was the amount of lime flavor in the dust, and that is the very reason I think Blue Heat is better. Blue heat has the same flavor and the same intense spiciness that makes Takis enjoyable. The only difference between Blue Heat and Fuego is that Blue Heat just toned down the strong lime flavor in the taki dust. So if you like takis fuego but don’t like the immense amount of sourness messing with the actual flavor, then try the blue heat because you might find it an enjoyable snack. Publicly, fajita is the worst flavor, and that’s what encouraged me to try them. In my opinion, they were normal takis except for the toned-down spice and increased sourness. So I can see why it was publicly the worst flavor, but it was still a good snack.
The new flavor, dragon chili, was better than expected. It perfectly balances spice with sweetness, making it the perfect snack. To help you picture it in your mind, just think of sweet chili doritos, but with a little twist in flavor and a hint more spice, making dragon chili a delicious addition to takis.
Another recent flavor was added to takis made for people who don’t enjoy the original intensely spicy snack. Nacho takis were interesting due to the small amount of spice. You could taste the kick of cheese and still feel the crunch you get when eating takis. What separates nacho takis from other cheesy snacks like goldfish and doritos is that it makes the nacho flavor very noticeable but doesn’t make nacho the entire flavor. Overall, takis are a good snack that I recommend putting in your cart when you’re strolling through the store because you might just find your new favorite.
My experience with takis first started in the good old days of 3rd grade elementary, when I was exposed to the original Fuego Red takis. I first found them spicy—very spicy. Little 8-year-old me did not know about this world of takis. So with this newfound knowledge, I came to find myself with the takis flavor of Crunchy Fajitas. I take them home, open the bag, and start to eat them. I had a water bottle next to me because I normally don’t handle the heat of the takis as well as others, but this one flavor tasted different. It wasn’t spicy, and I felt like it had a weird flavor that didn’t taste the best, but I still ate them. If you want a good opinion of the Fajita flavor, I would say that it is a relatively bad flavor. It has no spice or intensity, barely any flavor, and is just worse than the other flavors.
But there was one flavor that did not disappoint and those were the blue-heat takis. They had come out recently and were the latest craze in chips, so I decided to get a few. I had just put the takis in my mouth, and in that second, I was very impressed as the spiciness of the takis hit my taste buds like a semi-truck, and I loved them. I recommend the blue takis, and those are all the takis I have tasted, except for the red FUEGO takis, which I have tasted and do recommend.
Overall, if you want to eat Takis, eat Blue Heat or the New Dragon flavor. Even though I have not tasted them yet, I have heard that they are really good and have everything a takis would need as it is. I have not tasted the new Dragon Takis, but I would still recommend them. I hear that the takis are very good and taste like my personal favorite, the Sweet Chili Doritos, so my expectations are high, just like one day when I was coming home with some NITRO Takis and I expected the spicy flavor of them all because of the cool name. But I was very disappointed to find that they were not as spicy as I thought, and I even said, “These are not spicy at all.” That day I left with an empty bag and a stomach full of takis.
Takis are overall an amazing snack that many can enjoy whenever they want. People just love the snack so much, and it’s one of the most flavorful snacks you can find. Anyone can love taki and all of its flavors.
