The BGJHS Lady Purples are an extremely talented team that is filled with players who love and work hard for the team. Number 4, Melanie Guillien-Seranno, states, “I love how we all put in a bunch of work, and at the end, it feels really good because we work so hard together for each win.” I believe almost every player does and should feel this way!

This season, all of the players have a strong goal of making it to districts this year. This basketball season has just started, but the lady purple has already practiced countless hours. They go from practicing plays to win games, to running for missing layups. Player Trinity said, “Running is tiring, but it’s making us better players so it’s worth it.” These players truly put their all in everything they do. Let’s also not forget, that they have to stay on the honor roll to play. Doing practice 5 days a week and keeping incredible grades That’s impressive

Last year the 8th grade lady purples gave their all in every game they had and ended up being undefeated at the end of the season winning district. There were some super tough challenges the lady purples faced! The 7th graders got 3rd in the district after a close game of 28-25 going against South Warren. Player Hadley Morrison states “Last year at districts they were very aggressive so we had to fight back and try our hardest, we were all super sad when we lost though.” Though they lost, they still put in their best efforts. Which is still imposing knowing the incredible talent on both sides, the lady purples, and the Spartans.

These players work so hard, and I hope people see that as much as I do. The Lady Purples basketball team always puts exclusive amounts of work into each win and certainly loves what they do! So when you get a chance, stop by one of their games and cheer them on!!
