This is the first year that we have ever sold ice cream on Fridays at BGJHS. Why do you think they are doing this? What are they using that money for? At BGJHS, we think that the bathrooms need to be upgraded and better because the water pressure of the sinks is high, and there are a lot of things in that bathroom that need to be upgraded. 7th grader Ethan Allison stated, “ The water pressure in the boys’ bathrooms.” So if we were raising money, we think that the bathrooms need to be upgraded.
At BGJHS, we love to fundraise, but with all the fundraising money we do, do you think that this school is improving? The school will improve, but not now; they have to build finances and raise the money from fundraising to improve parts of the school. Students at BGJHS would also like to improve parts of the school, like the bathroom. 7th grader Grant Harston said, ” What needs to be upgraded are the bathrooms.” So, they could agree that they need to be improved.
The ice cream is a great way to fundraise, but there should be more ways in the school to fundraise, like the chips that are sold at lunch. But there can always be better ways to raise money, so where does it all go? Is selling ice cream a good way to raise money, and where would that money go? 7th grader Grant Harston stated, “I would put the money into the school and upgrade things that are not so good here that need to be upgraded, like the bathrooms.” So we should consider raising money towards the bathrooms because the grant suggested that there needs to be an upgrade to them.
The fundraiser money goes to things we need in school. From what we have gathered from interviews, we can conclude that the abundance of money goes to the schools and the students’ needs. But they will also be raising money for new things to improve, like the bathrooms, which both of our interviewees wanted. So why not donate now? The school can improve much more.
