There are lots of things that can happen at home that can cause mental health issues. According to The Monroe Sun, “More than 55 percent reported they experienced emotional abuse at home, while another 11.3 percent reported being the victims of physical abuse.” A mental health day could help to resolve and fix anything that might be causing more stress on students’ mental health than is needed.
