School dances are a great chance to meet up with fellow peers and just have a great time with your friends! The BGJHS cheer team will be hosting a winter formal dance at the BGHS on Saturday, February 1st, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Before the formal event begins, the cheer team brainstorms ideas for its setup. The dance could be decorated in various ways, using colors like blue, white, or other winter-themed elements. However, 8th-grade cheerleader Emily Sestic concluded, “The dance theme is going to be winter colors.” Their teamwork made the dance aesthetically pleasing and the night enjoyable for many.
The cheer team has taken some time to decide on the theme for the upcoming BGHS formal on February 1st. After a bit, they eventually came to a decision and decided that the theme would be winter-like. This means that students can come wearing anything up to fancy or entirely ordinary clothes in somewhat winter colors! Students can come wearing anything they’d be comfortable in!
Many students share that they usually spend time at a friend’s house or meet up with someone special before heading to the dance. This pre-dance ritual often includes socializing and getting ready together, enhancing the event’s excitement.
Several students shared that they planned to head to a friend’s house after the dance. This tradition allows them to continue the celebration, creating memories with friends in a more relaxed setting. 7th-grade student Makynli ODell said, “I am going to a friend’s house to just hang out and eat food.” Hanging out with friends isn’t just fun—it’s a fantastic way for students to boost their social skills!
The winter formal at the BGHS is one of the biggest dances we have had in 2025 so far. This school dance had a lot of excitement and enjoyment. Not only was it entertaining to be there, but it was also a delightful time to be there with your friends and socialize!
