In the digital age, has technology enhanced our communication, or has it created a barrier?
Communication has changed technology all over the world and is taking over the planet of technology.
We have experienced new technology versus old technology before. Mr. Taggs shares his experience with the past vs. the present (technology). “Technology advanced over the years.” When I was in middle school, my house had one computer and none of us had a cellphone, so if I had to call somebody, I would use the house phone. ”If I had to send a message, I had to turn on the computer, get connected, and sign in to MSN Messenger. That way I could text people and create group chats. ” At the time it was a lot of fun, It was completely new to what we had in the years before.” That was the way we texted back then but now we have cell phones and new devices to text and call.”
There are multiple ways now to communicate via technology. Technology is way more advanced now than before. They are devices, like cellular devices, iPads, etc. So now there are multiple ways to communicate with people across the world.
Technology has been improving communication over the years. Mr. Staggs explained his perspective on how technology improved communication. “Technology has come a long way over the years in terms of communication.” Everybody has a cell phone in their pocket now, and you can get a hold of anybody.” A couple of decades ago, you had to call somebody at home, and if they were not home, then you could not talk to them and had to leave a message.
There are many ways we communicate through technology, and most people like communicating through phones, text messages, etc. We asked Joseph Rodriguez about how he communicates with his friends and what he likes about communicating.”I communicate through my phone mostly; it’s easier and faster.” I like how fast it is and how smooth it is.”. Rodriguez also explains what devices and apps he uses to communicate with technology.”I mostly use my phone, but if I never have my phone, I use my parent’s phone.” I mainly use Discord, Snapchat, Xbox Voice Party, etc., and I communicate with my friends through there.” Joseph Rodriguez shares his perspective on how technology truly changed communication. “Yes, because back then calling someone was hard. We did not have faster internet than now, and it was slower and did not have the best graphics compared to now.” Now we have very good internet graphics, and it is faster.
We now experience the changes in
communication, and now we are seeing the power of communication across the globe.
