Track and Field is a running sport at Bowling Green Junior High School. The season starts in January, and this sport helps kids get faster and stronger legs. 8th grader Zyreek Burton says, “I have been running track for 2 years. It’s very easy to get hurt on the track, like turning hamstrings from running. Track and field helps me get in shape for football season.”
“Track and Field is nice because you get to make friends, and I like running a lot. I participated in Track for 3 weeks so far, but I am still training to be the fastest of all,” said 7th grader Liam Lowe.
“Track and Field is a good leg sport for running and training to get faster. I participated in Track last year, but I had to quit recently because of soccer season, but this year I am ready for Track and Field. I participated because I wanted to get faster for soccer season. Going to track and Field is to get faster and practice your momentum and stamina,” said 7th grader Alenga Amisi.
