Physical Education could possibly help other people’s lives. As we all know, this is why we have two PE coaches at BGJHS who are trying to help benefit physical education. Physical education is an important key to being healthy. Coach Hayes has helped BGJHS by participating as the PE coach for 22 years.
After all the questions that have been answered, we needed more info. 8th grader Wyatt Garrity shared a little more on the subject. “I think that PE should be mandatory, and kids should have it as one of their classes no matter what.” Why do you think this? “I think this because many children are out of shape and it would decrease the percentage of obesity we see today.” From this, we can get that physical education could massively impact children around the world who may lack athleticism.
What are some benefits of PE? 8th grader Thang Mung, who is in PE, shares with us, “PE is necessary for children around the world because it is beneficial for their health and helps them grow.” He also shared that his favorite thing about PE is playing soccer with his friends. This tells us that you can have fun while doing exercise, which is beneficial.
We know that PE is beneficial for all kids, so we asked other students about their opinions on PE. Joshua Sebastian, an 8th grader at BGJHS, tells us, “I like PE because it’s like free time.” Joshua was describing how he gets to play with his friends while doing physical action, which allows him to enjoy PE.
We can agree that Wyatt’s statement was true and that it can benefit many others. You get amazing coaches who care for you and push you to be your best. There are no flaws in PE; you go on field trips and get free time. Who wouldn’t want PE?
