Going to a bigger school can make you nervous if you have no classes with your friends. You will have to talk to new people, which can be nervous for younger people. Many students had to go to a new school this August.
Going to a new school can be different from your old school. You will have to remember where all your classes are. At your old school, you don’t switch classes, but if you did in your old school, it is usually right across the hallway. Alrya Carter said, “We don’t have to switch classes, and there are a lot more people.”
When you go to a different school, the classes get harder. Alrya Carter said ¨yes it was difficult because I had to make new friends and have to have so many different classes. It gets harder because of the advanced classes, and we only have 55 minutes for each class. In science class, we learn about cells and other stuff. It is harder to remember all the stuff you need to know for a test to get a good grade.
The transition between schools can be nervous for some people. Drew Clark said, “It was pretty easy, but it was difficult to make new friends at first.” When you first go to a new school, you have to switch classes, which can be hard to find. Drew Clark: “Yes, it was difficult, but then I got a schedule and it was easier.” Going to a new school can be difficult to make new friends. Especially when you have none of your friends in your new classes.
Sometimes people think that it is scary to switch schools because you might not have any friends. But from what we learn from the people we interviewed, it’s not really as bad as you think that it is.
