It was a close race but Donald Trump won with 312 electoral votes. Here are some of the promises he has decided to try and make. He wants to cut inflation rates so families will have more money. He will pass massive tax cuts for workers that include no tax on tips. No tax on tips could help families who can’t afford their groceries or simple products to keep them stable. It’s better so the people who may not have that extra dollar or quarter to pay don’t have to pilfer change in stores for products, and they can just pay the amount they need. President Trump states he will make the war between Russia and Ukraine end and many other wars that are harming the world end so the world can be at peace and run at a smooth pace.
With the presidential election now over, students at BGJHS had mixed feelings. 8th-grade students had mixed thoughts about Trump winning. 8th-grade student Dimitri Hill said, “I hope it goes well for the next 4 years so Kamala can be the candidate again.” But 8th-grade student Kyson Turner said, “I didn’t like that she was trying to add more hours to school. I think Trump winning was a great choice.”
Principal Mr. Lightning at BGJHS believes that the future will get better: “The next president will likely focus on addressing issues that impact Americans’ everyday lives, such as education, healthcare, and economic stability.” He also knows that “Moreover, the president will need to work with Congress to enact policies, so focusing on widely supported issues is critical for getting things done.” The future does seem great for everyone.
The presidential election was as close as solid atoms, and now it’s over.
