Tabletop Club is a time after school on Thursdays when some kids come and play Dungeons and Dragons. They also have some other students who will play board games. They had students play chess. It’s a perfect time for people to hang out with their friends and play games, where they don’t have to go home just yet. TableTop Club existed for four years.
The big appeal to the tabletop is that there are a lot of students who get to be themselves, and they don’t have to worry about judgment from other people; they’re with their friends, and there’s nobody there who is going to judge them for being a little nerdy. “Dungeons and Dragons is kind of nerdy here, it’s a make-believe game, you’re making up a story, but it’s so fun to just be creative and imaginative for a little bit, and a lot of students like to do that without having to worry about what other people think,” stated Mr. Staggs
