The Lady Purples had an amazing season, winning 20 games and losing 6 games, not including tournaments! These girls and coaches put in hard work on and off the court to play in the finals and win many games and tournaments.
This 2024 volleyball season for the BGJHS Lady Purples has been quite a success! These girls have not only had an amazing season, but they have also made many friendships along the way. “It’s a great program; the people that are in it are just so sweet, and you make so many good friendships, but it’s also discipline! So that means that you run a lot and condition a lot, but it all makes you better. My teammates’ personalities make it all so special; they’re always there for you, and they always have your back no matter what.” Said Kirbee Hamilton. Teammates make a huge difference in all these girls’ lives. They even have built forever-long friendships throughout this volleyball season.
These girls have put in so much effort on and off the court! “I’ve worked very hard to grow; I would work out three times a week and have practice three to five times a week, and I would carry a ball anywhere I would go so I could work on my game!” said player Karter Tooley. Many goals were accomplished this season, with the dedication the players and coaches put into the season!
The 7th grade team beat South Middle two times in the season! This was a huge accomplishment for the girls and coaches because they are known as BGJHS’s biggest rivals. Player Stella Walden stated, “Beating South twice in this season was a huge accomplishment for us because South has always been our rivals.” The girls even worked hard to make it to finals and came out in 2nd place! Walden said, “One of the happiest parts of the season was when we made it to the finals and got 2nd place overall.” This was a huge accomplishment for the BGJHS volleyball team! They worked hard all season to place high in finals and never expected to turn out 2nd!
Even though this volleyball season had many bumps along the way, many good things were accomplished along the way. These girls made great bonds and accomplished so much together! Every one of the girls worked so hard on and off the court to play and perform the best they could. This season had an outstanding turnout in the end and was a season full of success!
